Parts for Elddis caravans

When we bought an ex-demo Elddis late last year it had two damaged skylight blinds. The dealer told us not to worry as he would order new blinds and let us know when they were in. As this didn't affect the actual working of the caravan we accepted this.

We phoned the dealership in January to find out what was happening and it appeared that they had never been ordered! They were duly ordered.

However, here we are in late June still waiting. When we chased the dealership last week, mentioning that we had been waiting for parts on a caravan for nearly 6 months, he said "It's an Elddis, is it". When we confirmed this and asked if he knew that because we had spoke to him about it before, he said no, that Elddis are notoriously bad for supplying replacement parts.

Has anyone else had a problem with them like this, or any other

caravan manufacturer.

Hi Anita,

Eldiss are very bad for dealing with parts orders but so are some dealers,we waited 6months for a new shower door,in the end I wrote to the Managing Director with our complaint and it was then dealt with very quickly so drop him/her a line, send it by recorded post and see what happens. If by chance that does not work get onto your local radio station and tell them your problem these companies including dealers do not like bad publicity.Good Luck.Jim

Hi Anita, we live in the same town where Explorer have their factory.

I know of a couple of guys who set up on their own (ex-explorer employees) and they do warranty work, the trouble they have getting parts is a unbelieveable and they are 2 mile away but it might be worth giving them a call to see if they can help you.

If you require the number reply to this post.
