I am sure this questions been answeres before, but I cannot find it!

We are selling our van via newspapers and websites (not e-bay), and was wondering what payment method is the best?

I used to work in a bank and would think the best payment would be cash or bankers draft?

I think I remember seeing something on here, warning people about bankers draft?

Has anyone sold their van recently, and how was you paid? We are talking over 10K!

Cash is good, however there is always the possibility of forgeries, especially if the person pays with

When we sold our van the cash from the bank was still in sealed bank bags,we didnt count it as it still had all its seals etc,when we banked it the bank didnt check either.

theres only one way and one way only,regardless of the method of payment____money has to be accredited to your account before you release the van___if they want it theyll wait

I will make sure of that!

I worked in a building society for a few years and I always thought a Bankers Draft or a Building Society cheque was good, but I read somewhere that's not safe now, any one heard of this?
