I have been considering a PCP on a new VW Touareg (in a sort of "academic, might be interested" fashion) as a means of replacing my, fully paid for, 4 year old Touareg. THEN I read the small print!

A PCP limits you to 60 days' travel per annuml...unless you seek permission for a longer stay.

I think the same terms apply to HP too.

As we plan to visit Spain and Portugal for the 90 day, post Brexit, limit I think a PCP is now definitely a "no, no." I'll just stick with my current car and save money.

Just as a matter of interest, has anybody with a PCP (on any make) ever requested an extension? With what result? Over how long a period?

I’d just be interested to know what the PCP company would say if asked for an extended 90 day period.

I suspect the same would apply.
The 60 day rule seems to apply to all UK PCPs but worth checking if the car owner wants to exceed the 60 day limit.
