pdq awning

just returned from a very windy night in van. Leatherette bag that supports awning constantly banging off roof keeping 4 kiddies under 7 awake god help us! If anyone has one is it possible to tie it up for peace sake. Otherwise love the pdq and would highly recommend it

Hi I've just bought one and will be using it for the first time weekend commencing 23rd March I will have a look when I put it up to see if it is possible to tie it down to stop it flapping in the wind and will reply if I find a solution to this problem.

Regards,

Daniel

I've not seen one myself but would it not be possible to tie a guy rope around, it say at each end and then peg these to the ground?

We have a PDQ and have not had it facing into a strong wind yet so have not had this problem.

Are you talking about the top or bottom of the bag, I am imagining it would be the top as the bottom is protected from wind.

The zips start a few inches along and down the bag so I am having difficulty picturing the bag hitting the van - but - if you did the zips up a little wouldn't this help.

I am fairly sure that you would not be able to use the velcro fixing straps but it could be worth looking into.
