I would like the awning to stay on the side of the 'van so that it can be packed away wet. Any thoughts/eperience of Fiamma zip vs pdq?

OOps I roll up overhand --I do need helpI have the Fiamma "ZIP" 2.8m and find it very convenient and it stands high winds when zipped up better I would imagine than the PDQ which I had a good look at yesterday !
The Fiamma is not easy to roll up if you are not very tall and now that they have made it to roll up "underhand" its 10X harder to roll up than the older Cravanstore and the zips make it tend to "bag"
I have extended the velcro ties and that helps a lot.
Our friends bought one but are struggling with putting it away and went back to see if they could trade it in for the Omnistor that you wind up.
I am 6ft+ and 66 and as my wife is disabled I have to erect/take down on my own.
I can do this but rolling up is not easy
I start by centering the canopy so that I sit on the van step and then I can roll up underhand with my back to the van and as it rolls up I stand up and continue rolling ,finishing up standing on the van door threshold to get the centre velcro hooked together.
Hope that helps---I could do with some !!
John, when you come to sell your van, (I know it's a Bailey and who would want to sell that?) will you be issuing instructions for all the modifications you have made?I have the Fiamma "ZIP" 2.8m and find it very convenient and it stands high winds when zipped up better I would imagine than the PDQ which I had a good look at yesterday !

Yes it hangs in a bagThanks for this. Am correct in thinking that the Fiamma Zip simply hangs in a bag from the awning rail, as does the pdq?
