Pencelli or Brynich

Della,

Brynich is best for us, because it takes dogs, and the walk from the site into brecon along the canal is a lovely walk. Both sites are immaculate and toiletshower facilities are excellent

Della,

We looked round bishops meadow when we were staying at brynich, i would say i was glad which site we had chosen. I looked on the internet and it all looks glossy, but in reality i wasn't that impressed. Aplogies for anyone who has stayed there and liked it.

No apologies neccesary, Gill. To each his own. We have a Royale club rally there every March, and find it excellent.

The only word I can find to describe Brynich is "clinical". It has no features and reminds me of an open field on a hillside.

Each to their own though and it's a good job we don't all like the same kind of site else there would be no room :O)

GillC, just a thought, when you visited Bishop's Meadow, did you go through the the seasonal vans to the terraced site at the end? The view from there is spectacular. I would agree that the seasonal site is not impressive.

From what i can remember we drove through a bus/lorry park which was not a good first impression then through the statics to where the seasonals must be. I guess it must be first impression just put us off.

Don't know about Brynich but we stayed at Pencelli a few years back and loved it.

It's got numerous awards, is well run and is in a smashing location.

i`ve stayed at both many times and brynich was always the best for me as there is everything on site and near to brecon town but the owners have become too strict as you must not make any noise at all after 930pm and must retreat back into your van by 10 and must be very quiet also the kids are stopped from doing anything after 7pm i would recommend Gilestone caravan park just 2 miles from brynich
