There was a topic a couple of months ago about wiring a tracker to the permanent 12v supply, I wish to do the same. I believe the original poster got some tips from a sparky friend. Could someone give me some tips or a link to how this is done. Thanks.
 
The easiest way, which will be universal to all 'vans, is to wire it directly to the battery. You MUST include an inline fuse (suggest 1A or 3A) in the positive lead as close as practicable to the battery. ( I would use a waterproof inline blade fuse holder .... they are reliable and cheap).
 
Just had another look at it and think I will connect it to the charger control unit for the solar panel, this has an extra terminal for something like this.
