Permanent Tyre Seal

Our local caravan service office has given us a leaflet demonstrating how caravan tyres can be injected with a polymer gel to help prevent punctures. Anybody tried this and any opinions please?

i had it injected in my last set of tyres but as far as i am aware I didnt have a puncture but i wouldnt know. Just changed the tyres after 3 years due to cracks on the innervwall identified during the service. I did not have it injected in the replacement tyres.

It may be Ok for a very small puncture in the main tread area of the tyre, but is absolutely no use at all in a sidewall blowout.
Also, a small puncture can be repaired in the main tread area, but with that stuff in the tyre, no repair place will do it as the liquid will have contaminated the inner of the tyre.

The best advice is check your tyres regularly and ensure they are kept at the correct pressure.
