Permanently Fitted Solar Panels

I originally bought my solar panal from a company that specialised in fitting them semi permanently to motorhomes and caravan roofs.

I was having major problems with the warranty issues on my caravan at the time and didn't want this compromised by having holes drilled in the roof !!

I can appreciate the potential benefits as I rarely use sites with EHUs but would welcome comments from forum readers that have them fitted - positive and negative.

Many thanks

Bill

I have solar panels fitted to two caravans and fitted one to my daughter and son in laws caravan. Brackets are bonded to the roof using Sikaflex 221, they are mounteed behind the roof light to protect them from wind and so they can be cleaned. No drilling, no holes. The adhesive mastic just needs to be left to dry before mounting the panel. No movement on the original adhesive mounting afer five years.
