I am currently in the process of selling my car of which i am having very little luck so far, it's a 2lt pterol with towbar fitted butr in 3 wks i have had no interest, it would be a good car for towing either a 2 berth or a camping trailer. I don't know where it's largely down to to economic downturn or whether it's because it a petrol and some people prefer a diesel for towing. it's an 05 plate and comes with 2 yrs free mot & service. can anyone help it's advertised nationally.

Hi Andrew

Secondhand petrol cars are cheaper than their diesel counterpart.

At the moment its down to price, rememeber than new cars are heavily discounted at the moment so your used car value drops as well. You may have paid top price for it 2 years ago but thats the state of the car market at the moment.

People who had pcp's are just handing their cars back.

A friend of mine has just handed his Disco 3 back after 3 yrs, bought on a 36000 mile 3 year lease with a GTV of

Without bieng patronising, I was once told you can sell anything at the right price and it's very true.

Presumably you have valued your motor correctly and are advertising it in the right place, for example Auto trader or E-Bay.

Don't laugh at e-bay iether, it's an excellent and cheap place to advertise the car and generate interest, particularly if you are good at photography.

Andrew

There are still many people who wouldnt have a diesel car, until recently my son was one.

I always do a online search usually autotrader, to establish the dealer and private prices.

Also i make a note of the format thats used, as the charge is per word,(or was when i last used it). But you probably know this already?

Honest john web site allows you to advertise your car for free, i think it is removed after one week. So worth a try.

Also cc club have classifieds, but i would use this as a last resort. Sadly second hand cars seem to have taken a nose dive when part exchanged.

Finally you havent said what you are selling? Someone on here may be interested.
