peugeot 407

Not with a 407 but with a C5. Same engine and box, Great performance for towing. Good solo fuel consumption at around 47mpg from fill to fill but not so good towing - only around 28mpg.

I have the 407sw xline 2.0 136bhp. I find it a great car for towing as it has the 'grunt' where you need it and has a max towing weight of 1750kg. Just be aware with them that there are a few small niggles. I think i had a friday afternoon car as it has been back to the dealer a number of times. The biggest problem is the internal sunroof - now had two replacemnets, tyre valves corrode very quickly to the point you cant inflate them and the wing mirrors wobble but they are aware of that!

Apart from that it is a great car. Fuel economy is good when solo, expect around 50mpg on long runs, not so good when towing but as long as you keep below the limits and not 'boot it' from junctions i got 30mpg when towing to harwich a few months back.

I hope this all helps, if i think of anything else i will post
