Phone help please

I have an old Redmi android phone and a new Motorola android phone, can anybody p;lease suggest a foolproof way to transfer all the data from the old one to the new one, ideally I would like to link them with a cable and leave them to it.

Plesae bear in mind I am not tech savvy, so short words and short sentences please

Not wishing to sound patronising in any way but are there any teenagers living near you?
I find they are generally a lot more savvy about this type of thing than us mature types 🙄
Failing that *** into your local phone shop.

Yes we just get granddaughter to change ours over, just does without even thinking about it, in minutes.

All sorted,old phone was not reading the QR code on the new one, whatever that means, and also had to turn off the automatic voice text set as standard, happy bunny now , but why are they so complicated, when its not needed, bit like touch screens in caravans, next job is to delete all the unwanted apps that come as standard
