are any of you into photography?. Both my wife and myself enjoy snapping away as a hobby. It works well with caravanning as we can stay over near places we want to photograph.

In order to display our pictures we looked for a gallery and forum site but after trying a few we got tired of the fact that all sites seemed to have at least one opinionated professional who took every chance to tell the hobbyist what they were doing wrong. They seemed to ignore the point that we were taking the pictures for fun not for profit. We often got told "well you couldn't sell that photo because...." we never wanted to sell them we just wanted to enjoy them.

So the upshot is we created our own site for people who are into photography for the fun and enjoyment of it not to be the next David Bailey (young members please ask your parents who he is) if any of you wish to join and post some of your pictures please feel free the site is www.simplysnaps.com

I like the Cortina too my first car was a MK1 1500 super but I would rather have the Classic Capri.

Thanks for bringing this 'site' to my attention. Looks very interesting and I am now a 'new member'! Mind you my postings might be somewhat haphazard! My digital camera is an oldie but still works well.

Looks interesting.

Many of us carry a camera all the time being that we have camera phones.

3 - 5 mega pixel cameras in a phone will soon be the norm, my phone has something like 20 x zoom, so how about something for camera phones.

They are probably already the most commonly used photo option.

I'll join when I get around to it Richard but don't expect me to post techy stuff ;O) Most of my pics are taken in auto mode. I digitally enhance them on my computer.. or at least try to :O)

thats the whole point of the site its for the people that take pictures for fun, some get a bit techie but its more about the fun of photography than the techie side
