Hi there hope somebody will be able to put our minds at rest with this issue. We are new to caravaning and use a Citroen Picasso 2.0 HDI to tow our 1998 Abbey Oxford, but we have noticed that the front wings of the car seem to be getting much warmer than when not towing (specifically just above the lights) even though the engine temp guage is showing same as normal. Any info/advice re this would be much appreciated.

Of course the engine puts out more heat when towing and it's a good thing that it is dissipated, hence the wings get hotter than when solo. Because the coolding system is efficient on a Picasso the heat gets blown away and the engine itself stays at normal operating level, hence the temperature guage showing normal. When the bodywork stays cool and the guage goes up you need to worry.
