ok I never commented so here goes - why not allow pics just under Our Website then people who voted no like Royston, who never posts under Our Website anyway, wont get annoyed. If pics get posted in any other forum delete them. Then again if someone wanted to post a technical pic and couldnt the whingers would start moaning :O( They will have 7 or more forums for their technical info. Why a total ban? There is text posted on this forum thats inappropriate so His Moddyship deletes it, the same can be done for the pics. People throw Kangas nic about as if its something to fear. If he posts it gets deleted. A blanket ban just gives way to the Victor Meldrews in this forum, the grumpy old men, and theres quite a few which is understandable considering the majority of vanners are elderly. Just hope I dont get that way :O)

No -

Not from any prudish standpoint - I TOTALLY agree with Martyn above who has seen exactly the same problem on other Forums as I tried to explain. I rarely use those now because who wants to trawl through a load of irrelevant photos.

The beauty and utility of this Forum is its simplicity.

I would also suggest again that a "Gallery" be set up along the lines that Lol suggested. This would be far simpler for the Moddy's to police.
Gallery or whatever you want to call it, the killjoys would still object, after all its still pics. sighhhhhhhhhh.

I bet LordB has a gallery at the hall. We could have a web cam and just go on and see what he has hanging each day ;-)

I would love to see photos and my vote would be YES if the forum software could support it. Under the present software it has got to be a resounding NO. To many red Xs stupid photos. Question is can you stop HTML entries in the post message box. Maybe it really is time to drag the forum software into the 21st centuary and upgrade it to one of the new forums

So for the record its a NO at present

I would agree for reasons as stated previously that there should be NO pictures/photos on the forum. Lets get back to normality. Therefore my answer is an emphatic NO.

Yes to pictures, providing (see comments).
A. They are limited to one specific area of the forum.

B. A proper system is installed so that everyone has an equal chance to post them.

Although Steve has kindly given us a way to post, most of us are reliant on this. We need a proper facility created by PC.

Tina

Is that a 'YES' or 'NO' as you said you agreed with it in another posting.

p.s. Will you email a photo of your pup to me? Congratulations by the way. I've borrowed a swanky camera so I'll email some to you of my pup. I'll do that at the weekend, was supposed to be going away to Clumber Park but I've cancelled it.

I have no objection to pics on Forum but why not start a new section for this? Unfortunately, I cannot access most of the pics as when I try to open the 'icons' nothing happens. What am I missing?

The warlords at Haymarket Towers are reviewing the issue of posting photos and other images on this forum. A decision will be reached some time this millennium.
