Pipes into the Wastemaster

As you know, fairly new to all this but like anything that makes life easier. I have two waste outlets with the grey flexy hoses running into my Wastemaster. Now I have seen quite a few, ahem, seasoned vanners with a contraption made up from white domestic plumbing pipe which means only one tube into the top of the tank. Is this a fairly easy thing to construct or do I need a degree in plumbing and be CORGI registered to carry it out?

I figure a bit of plastic pipe, a Y piece, suitable adhesive and Robert is your mother's brother?

You can get a Y connector from caravan dealers or you can use 32mm plastic domestic waste fittings.

The larger bore standard caravan waste pipe will push fit into the 32mm push fit elbows etc so no glue is needed.

For some unknown reason the UK manufacturers seem to insist on separate outlets for the waste. My own van (Continental) has all the pipes (all rigid 28mm stuff) interlinked prior to the exit from the van itself, so ergo, only one outlet. Put the waste container underneath and all is done.

Maybe one day they will catch up.

Hello Cerbera,

With doubt a degree in Plumbing is essential, but you only need CORGI if the waste pipe produces methane from the rotting matter!

However there is no problem if you employ child labour provided that have a fully paid up membership Royal Institute of Lego Constructors.

I don't think this really helps, but at least it give you an idea the standard required.

Have fun.
