Plumbing help please

Hello and thanks for accepting me in this group. I have bought a new vanwhich has been in storage for a while and both taps leak. It may be the inserts so I have 2 new ones coming home. I would like to replace the seals on the swivel tap as well but cannot remove the insert barrel. There seems to be what looks like a roll pin but I cannoy get it to move. I am frightened to break it and thought there must be a trade secret.

Can you assist?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Orkney,

I've not stripped these taps but from the photo it looks as though the pin is hollow. Have you tried finding a self tapping screw that will screw into the pin. You could then grasp the screw to pull the pin out.
However I suggest taking the whole tap out of the worktop and looking from the underside to see if the pin can be accessed.

I hope that helps a bit
