Can any one please advise if it is worth fitting a pnuematic jockey wheel when using a motor mover.
Also any problems experienced with pnuematic wheels.

John, yes it is worth fiting a pneumatic jockey wheel with a mover. They do not dig in like the solid ones, are much easier to move a van over grass or gravel surfaces and provide some suspension to the front end. Problems,,,if you dont keep it fully inflated it can roll off the rim, they , like all pneumatic wheels are likely to suffer a puncture at some time, and depending on your A frame clearances, it may not sit as high when retracted.
The main point is they relieve the stress on the mover which has got to be good.

First thing we did...you wont regret it, but watch out the tyre does deflate over a period of time (our van is in storage) and we did not expect this...
Also, I bought the Alko wheel (as was my previous rubber wheel) and what I do not like is the stroke of the handle which is different to my previous wheel. Ie the arm is shorter and bends upwards and it is a lot harder to wind it.
BUT MUCH EASIER TO MOVE THE VAN!

yes it is worthwhile, but keep your old jockey wheel for when in storage or at home, so the pneumatic one can't flatspot or go down.

A word of caution for anyone as stupid as me !!! The pressure on the side wall of the steel wheel tyre is up to 4 bar but if you try to put that pressure into the plastic wheel version the wheel will explode .For some strange reason no pressure is recommended on the plastic wheel tyre but Towsure recommend 30 psi.
