Leaves a lot to be desired, Looking at sites in the North West for instance. The Google Map doesn't show all the sites (only one or 2) Click on one result Meadow Falls,

I often use Google Maps to search for sites, and then you can zoom in for a birds-eye view of the site and the approach roads. I have just tried 'Caravan sites near Lancaster' and '...near Keswick' with lots of results, although it will pick up static van only sites too. You get a list on the left of the screen that you can scroll through and use the link to the sites own website.
 
I am not sure how they get the listings. I have tried other areas and found that you can get far too many to make choosing easy.
