Poor water flow ?

Hello, just back from first outing in new to us 2003 swift conqueror 650, while we where away the water flow from the kitchen taps was very slow and made splurting noices everytime it was turned on, the bathroom taps were fine. Any idea how to fix before next outing would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Jennifer,

If only some of the taps are spluttering, it suggests that your pump is fine, but you may have a blockage in some of the pipes.

I would suggest you completely drain the system, including the boiler, as if you were preparing the caravan for winterisation, and then re-fill as per the handbook.

This may clear any blockages.

Failing that, it could be a faulty tap or leak, but try draining the caravan first.

Thanks,

Ash

Hi Ash,

thanks for the reply i will try that tomorrow and let you know if it worked. While i have you on here, the electric plate on the hob is not heating up will we need to get someone to look at this or can we fix it ourselves.

thanks

Hi Jennifer,

As with most electric items, we always recommend that it is checked out and serviced by a competent person, ideally your dealer.

However, we do have a number of Authorised Repairers around the UK, if your dealer is too far. I can send you a list, if you drop me an e-mail on technicalsupport@swiftleisure.co.uk.

Thanks,

Ash
