Porch Awning Advice Please

Hi.
We wish to purchase a porch awning for our shorter breaks away in the caravan.
I really like the look of the Sunncamp 390 with the fibreglass poles.
Does anyone know if there is one very similar to this, but where the awning is pegged down from the outside and the bottom skirt can be folded inside so i can put the awning mat over the skirt to stop the dogs from escaping.
Hope this makes sense.
Looking at photos of the 260/390,it appears that the awning is pegged down from the inside which I dont think would be any good for a pair of very good "escapees" ha ha

Many thanks,

Hi Adrian
We have the sunn camp ultima 260, and you're right. The awaning is pegged on the inside, and there a couple of feet between some of the peg points. We have a Lab who insnt too bothered about escaping, but if you have smaller dogs, with the great escape on there mind, Im sure they wouldnt find it too hard to get out.

Hope someone else can suggest a more suitable awaning for you.

Hi Mal.
Thanks for the reply.
Our Spaniel isnt too bothered about wandering but the Shi-tzu?........thats a different story.
Cant seem to locate an awning similar to the Sunncamp style with the pegging down on the outside.
I suppose the only alternative would be,is to peg down the skirt outside all round but obviously, this would leave holes in the skirt.

Have a "look" at the Towsure Panama 260/390. I have one and mine pegs down on the outside with plastic skirt on the inside. It also comes, I think, with an awning skirt and padded wall sections. Apart from poles for pads and 2 x "stretchers" which are metal, 3 main poles are fibre glass. Cost for 260 is £149. We also use an awning mat but not sure if the awning would be escape proof for a determined hound.

Hi Clubman.
Many thanks for the reply.
Thats exactly what were looking for.
Just had a look at Towsures website and the 390 is £199 which includes the pads etc..
Brilliant.....thanks a lot

Hi we have a kampa rally 390 but they also do the awning in 200 and 260 sizes the awnings are better made than the sunncamp plus you can get poles to seal the rear side to the van so no flapping or gaps. Plus the front poles adjust for uneven ground.

hi chris191.
Thanks for that.
Have just had a browse of the Kampa but its about £85 dearer although it does look good.

I can confirm what chris said having had the Sunncamp and now having replaced it with the Kampa Rallye 260 which we used for the first time recently.
The Rallye is a far superior awning and to my mind well worth the extra dosh.
A plus factor is the adjustable legs which are ideal if pitched on sloping ground.
You do have to pay extra for the monsoon poles and upright buffer pad poles but by shopping around we got the lot for £222 online.
The skirt pegs down on the inside as you require.
I must add that the awning seems more robust than the Sunncamp hence it's weight. I also found it easier to put up than the Sunncamp.
Because we caravan for complete weeks most of the year we also bought the storm straps which cost £12.
