Porch Awning Foam Pads

Can anyone tell me how to fix the foam pads really tight to the caravan. It is a new porch awning and I can't seem to get these foam pads tight to the caravan wall
 
Hi Joyce

I wouldnt worry too much about getting them tight to the van.

I use an Isabella Magnum and managed to get the pads tight against the van,when i took down after 2 weeks there were bad rub marks down the side of the van where the pads had been,i had to polish them out and you can still see where they had been.

I dont have them tight against the van now.
