porch awning side suckers

My cheap porch awning is great except one area, the sides where it joins the van.

Its only single nylon which i dont think will be enough to hold pipe lagging. I was thinking of some gripper sucker things that stick to the van and grip the awning side. Only problem is my van walls are dimpled. Will they stick?

Hi Andy,

We use the suckers for holding the wheel cover on when we use our awning, nad have only managed to get them to stick if the surface is completely flat and clean. We couldnt make them stick on a dimpled surface
