Porth Beach - Newquay

hi Tracey

went here in 2006 and have to say was most impressed. This is just a basic campsite no entertainment etc but you are just over the road from cafes and a decent pub and best of all a fantastic beach. You can walk over the cliffs to newquay its not a bad walk.

The pitches were of a decent size all flat and the site is very well maintained. The owners then were extremely welcoming.

The best thing about this site was the toilet and shower block it was like something out of a hotel and was kept that clean you could eat off the floor the site had won loo of the year for a number of years running.

The only downside for me was you were in a valley so tv reception wasnt that great but hey who watches tv on hol

hope this helps

we've not stopped there, but had a look round last June when we were stopping nearby.

It looked fine to me. As Jon says a basic site, behind a car park, Close to beach and local shops and Pub.

Can't comment about the loos, but it all sounds good.

Re. TV since they went digital the signal has been boosted and with a good directional ariel a good picture now now be received.
