Portsmouth-Blibao, Good deal with CC

Greetings All,

The CC are offering the Acciona ferry route between Portsmouth and Bilbao for £300 return between now and the end of the year.

You have to come back before 31st December but it includes a cabin both ways.

This Company are undercutting the opposite by at least 50% (and more)

I've just worked out that it would be cheaper for me to use this ferry than to grind up to Dover in fuel costs alone.

I know the journey is part of the fun but actually saving money by not being on the road makes sense to me.

hI WE WERE THINKING OF USING THIS ROUTE, BUT WERE UNSURE OF GOOD SITES TO USE ...WE HAVE A TWIN AXLE..AND JUST WANTED A DECENT PITCH AND GOOD POOL AREA, ONLY BEEN TO VENDEE BEFORE, SO NOT SURE IF TO USE ROUTE FOR SPAIN OR SOUTH OF FRANCE. ANY SITE SUGGESTIONS ?

Have you wondered why P&O are so much cheaper? It's because they take nearly 12 hours more to get to Spain than the Brittany Ferries crossing from Plymouth to Santander on a much older ferry.

I guess you pay your money and take your choice.

Cheers

Mark

hi what time does this ferry dock ? and what site do you use as your first stop off ....we are thing of making our way to Catalonia area....any ideas ?

Hi Pete,

The Plymouth ferry (Brittany Ferries) leaves Plymouth at 12 Noon and docks at 8.30am in Santander. Which leaves a whole day to get somewhere.

Cheers

Mark
