Postern Hill site to close early October.

Forestry England Camping are to close Postern Hill site in the Savernake Forest, Marlborough. It’s not financially viable and it’s limited facilities (no showers) require work on them.

Pity as we used to take short breaks there, and occasionally I’d take the tent to what I found to be a nice peaceful site.

Kingstone Farm (CL) is just down the road from there and is very quiet / peaceful but no shower or toilets. I can also recomend Totterage Farm (CL or independent) a couple of miles away - if you go for the CL you have to use your own facilities, but there is a toilet / shower block if you stay on the independent pitches which cost a few quid more.
