Potential damp issue

Hi All,

I've noticed today during rain the water was dripping a couple of cm from the corner which looked a bit suspicious. Upon inspecting underneath I found some wet spots which I don't think should be there as the caravan was stationery for about a week.
Is it normal or does it look like a potential damp issue?

The bottom of the awning rail looks a bit unhappy but best way to be sure is to get a damp meter and test the inside of the van. Staining on the underside may have occurred because of oily road conditions.
Hope it is not damp

Is there a split in the back corner? Looks like at some stage it may have been covered with a sticker of some kind, is that possible?photo_2023-07-23 17.41.01.jpeg
I have circled the area of concern, is it possible the water is getting in there?

The van was stored in a dry shed for the last 2 years and used only a couple of times. Now it is under the sky. The damp readings are OK but there is a vinyl flooring.
With all of that I expect no water marks underneath and if there are any - should be a concern?

That area is OK, just duct tape residue BUT there is a big gap to the left of it (right in the middle of the photo). I suspect there was a plastic cover and water running down by the awning rail normally would be discharged by going OVER the missing cover but now it goes inside instead?

Your reason makes more sense now, looking at it the sealant to the right looks like it was there for a cap, to the left you see the screw heads which I think would have been covered,
Have you looked at the other side of the van and see if the cap is still on there?

damp meter is a must. The stains underneath, near the corner stead. are most probably grease from the steadies winding gear.

Is the bathroom in that corner? If so, peel back the floor covering if possible (or use a damp meter through the covering) and ensure nothing is leaking and working it's way through to the underside.
