Powertouch Mover Fault

Just arrived on site and discovered that the mover will not work on the nearside wheel when movng forward, it's OK in reverse. Offside works fine.

Connected cable to handset and the mover works fine.

I seem to remember a post on this topic in the past but cannot locate it.

Has anyone had experience of this problem, please?

Thanks,

Ron.

Hi Ron

Contact Powertouch their after sales service is brilliant, I had a problem with mine last week whilst on holiday and they sent an engineer direct to the site who replaced my mover motor.

If your mover is less than 5 years old then Powrtouch will replace the handset if faulty.

If it works perfectly when connected by the cable then it is not a problem with the keypad, which would be my first assumption with it partially working. I assume you have changed the handset battery.

Were you near any powerlines?

Surprisingly operating car remote locking can confuse with the signal, on our last car if I was moving the caravan, the car could not be locked or unlocked remotely.

Got back home today and phoned Powertouch. The engineer knew at once the problem - caused by a brush in the motor.

He is arranging for an engineer to call and fix, as it is still under warranty.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Ron.
