Valerie, I do not see any advantage in using e bay. The price direct from Powrwheel is the same and their agents fit it. I am not saying there is a problem with the sellers on ebay but their all in supply & fitting price is limited to 50 miles or so from their base whereas powrwheel is national.

I has one fitted recently direct from Powrwheel and there were no problems with delivery or fitting.
The model we wanted was quoted at

Hi jo-anne

Our mover is 2 rollers, the 4 roller system is available but to fit it would have involved more cost, and moving the spare wheel carrier, as far as I can gather the 4 roller system allows you to turn a twin axle in a smaller space than the 2 roller system.

In answer to your other question we use a Ventura Ppacific awning size 950 on our van with an awning size of 1088, this gives us awning over the door and bedroom, and a space at the front for barbecue, chairs etc.

Hi Joanne, We had our mover fitted at the dealers. We have an abbey spectrum 540 Twin axle. We ordered a series 6 powertouch mover and paid 1500. When we went to pick up our van we found that they had fitted a series 4, or so we were told.

We took the caravan home and tried to turn it with the mover after 45mins of struggling and one of our neighbours coming to help we managed it. Not good we thought. We rang Powertouch and explained what had happened and a lady called Rachel was fab. She said i will look into it for you. 15mins later i get a phone call from one of the managers who tells me my mover had been sent to the dealers and that they had split the mover.

I then get a call from Phillip Clark the MD. Who had personally phoned the dealer and demanded our other half of our move back. 10 days later it was fitted and the dealers work checked.

Can recomend them for the highley efficiant, friendly ,sympathetic and fast service. Thier customer service is second to none and a few companys could learn a thing or two from them. I wish the sold Caravans.

Robert, We had a call on the friday before our mover arrived, to tell us that it would arrive on Monday. On Saturday the fitter telephoned to say would it be ok to come down and do the work on the following Thursday. We are in west wales. I can only speak from experience. Telephone and ask to speak to Rachel she is in the sales Dept. She helped me loads.

Regards Diane.

My Carver is now 7 years old and has been DIY fitted to 3 vans but the Oklahoms is a bit on the heavy side so I have ordered the more powerful Powrtouch with electrical engagement of rollers

Does anyone have the powr actuator model?

The five year warranty is a good thing--the Carver needed a new control panel after 3 years at great expense.

Powrtouch now have an offer on to remove old movers and fit new one with

I`ve got nice shiny aluminium rollers on my Powrtouch ( it`s only a few weeks old) but as I never had a mover before I can`t draw any comparisons. Certainly had no `grip` problems though as they appear quite aggressive, and I`ve had the motor stall before theres any slippage.

I have posted about time waiting for them to call and looking at the one about shiny rollers. Mine are the black ones and my neighbour who has the same but is awaiting for them to be changed owing to gravel ripping the surfice has been sent the silver ones and after feeling them could not detect what material they are, they look like ally but have a seam .

They appear to be a casting of a lightweight (possibly aluminium) alloy.

The actual `driving` surface I can only describe as having sort of random `spikes` which obviously are not sharp but certainly seem to do the job. Imagine a thick mix of household filler, lay a very coarse sponge into onto it, press then remove.

Thats probably of no use at all, or only causes more confusion, but without a piccy i don`t know how else to describe it!
