Powrtouch evolution auto engage problem

A tip that might come in useful for someone.
I have a Powrtouch evolution mover with auto engage, on our recent trip to France one roller would not engage, other one was fine. I phoned Powrtouch to see if they could offer any solution. Very helpful gentleman suggested that it was possible the "rollers had went out of sync", and to try using the tool supplied for emergency disengaging of the rollers, just one full turn and then try the automatic engagement again via the handset. That sorted the problem and both rollers have been fine since.
Might be helpful to someone at some point

That's very interesting. I've had the same problem several times, but switching the unit off and back on again has worked so far, but I'll try your solution.

I did try switching the unit off and then on again, that was also one of the first things the helpline technical guy got me to try. The one full turn with the hand tool was the last resort. Just glad it worked, don't know how but it did thankfully.

Would you believe it? I've just been out to the caravan and lo and behold, the nearside motor didn't engage! I dis-engaged the offside one, and then used the tool to wind the offside one right off (the nearside one was, but it needed about a turn and a half to get the offisde one right off). I've engaged them a dozen times now, and it's worked perfectly. Thanks for the tip.
Time will tell I suppose to see if they get out of sync again.
Nigel.
