Hello All,
Has anyone got experience of the latest fully auto Powrtouch. I have the previous model and have had a couple of probs with the actuator motors jamming on. One of their engineers was telling me that the Evolution is a general all round improvement on my model and I wondered if any members of the forum have first hand experience. I have used Powrtouch since their very early days around 2002, so I am fully aware how good they are to deal with and how they honour their warranty etc. I just wanted any info on the full y auto Evolution Thanks

I have had 3 actuators replaced on my older model Powertouch, however when the last one was fitted the engineer told me that they were now fitting a different one. This was confirmed by the way you can release the rollers, if they are sticking on the wheels. I have had no problems since then.

He also confirmed that the new model was a great improvement, I asked him if this was a good thing from his point of view? As with yourself I cannot fault the service offered by them, when I have had a problem, I just think they used an actuator that was not as good as it might have been,

Regards,
George

Hello George, thanks for that. Either the Powrtou ch engineers have been told to use a "script", but I somehow doubt that. It seems that a few of us have suffered actuator motor problems- but at least Powrtouch have honoured their warranty.
I need a reliable mover as, due to a dissability, I cannot get down to free off the unit. For the same reason I have to use a fully auto unit- otherwise I would revert back to the manual type. Will have to see if Powrtouch can put a good deal together!

Installed an auto Evolution on my S6 Senator California 15months ago replacing an aged (12 yr old) manual Truma mover.
Very pleased with it so can thoroughly recommend one.

Hi
I had one fitted back in March which I bought at the show in Birmingham, I have never used one before as I never thought i would need to but having had it, I am delighted. No problems so far. I obviously don't have any experience of the earlier model but looking around at the show, this seemed to be the best one. I was also expecting to pay a lot more as I have a twin axel but the sales guy said I'd would not need a twin and recommended a single on the front wheels. Works a treat,

Hi all, anybody suggest a place in South Wales to get a Powrtouch Evolution Single Auto fitted at a good price? The prices seem to be pretty fixed nationwide. Thanks.
