Pressure switch issue

Can any one advise on stripping what I assume is a Whale pressure switch in a 2004 Lunar Lexon 640? It is the one with the screw type adjustment on top. How do you go about it? I do not want to attempt it until I know that there is no sneaky bits that have to be replaced prior to re-assembly.

We have noticed a lot of fine grit, not lime scale, in the residue water after a shower and assume that it is this that is causing the problem with the pressure switch. We will also be fitting a filter prior to the pressure switch to prevent further issues in the future.

We are on a seasonal site and accordng to the warden the whole site including the statics and the also the nearby housing estate suffer from the same problem although the issue has been raised with Severn Trent constantly. Their answer is that as it does not effect trhe quality of the water, it is not an issue!

It might pay to fit the filter first between the pump and switch. This should stop the grit getting into the system, see how it goes.If it cures your grit problem and the switch is working OK then I feel it is best left alone.
