Price of Diesel

Last Saturday we filled up in Kingsbury near to Kingsbury Water Park C & CC site

BE WARNED

There was no price board outside and we didn't notice the on pump price until the attendant had nearly filled the tank

It was 117p per litre

No repeat business will ensue

Has something happened in the world I'm not aware of?

I'm now paying less for diesel than unleaded.

Demand for diesel is down due to less mileage by Trucks etc, this has allowed stocks to recover, but don't expect it will be long before it rises again

World diesel stocks are more than recovered.... there is now a glut due to the recession.

In fact there is a problem of storage so prices are set to fall..... that is if a Mr A.Darling does not see an opportunity to raise the duty.

Funny how diesel has been cheaper than petrol on the Continent for some time now.

Straight forward tax issue, not supply and demand like here.

LPG is slow to come back down though! Its still 57p in Mid Wales. Where there's a bit of competition its a bit lower, I paid 43p near Northampton a few weeks ago.

I'm close to being cheaper running a diesel! YUCK!!
