Price of fuel creeping up again

This week at our local Morrisons in Worcestershire the price of diesel has gone up twice by 1p each time. Has any one else noticed this?

I am still paying 120.9 for Shell Diesel in Kent (filled up yesterday.

Morrisons did come down a lot quicker than everyone else. Perhaps they overcooked the reduction.

same here , my local morrisons (Walsall or Wolverhampton) both went up 1p on Tuesday. Luckily I filled up Monday.

I've heard somewhere that the price per barrel had significantly dropped and the decrease hadn't been passed on to motorists.

Crude oil is priced in US dollars - and during the same period that crude oil prices have fallen by 25%, the dollar has risen by 15% compared to the Euro and the Pound.

So a 10% price drop would seem reasonable... Robert

Joby, round here the average price for the acutal filling stations is abouit 124.9, although supermarkets are around the 121.9 mark.

Since we live live to one of britains biggest refinaries and a slightly smaller one just 1/4 mile across the water, it does make you wonder why it's so dear.

So you live close to either Exxon Fawley or Shell Stanlow. Both of those regions are not exactly the cheapest places to live in the UK, business rates and salaries are commensurate with the region, and the garage operator needs to make a profit.

My local Tesco put their price up by 1p per ltr on Sat. Now 125.9

I just thought it was because they were going to start their 5p off offer if you spend

Rob-jax. No I used to live near to Esso (exxon)Fawley, but moved up here to Milford Haven with Texaco on one side and Gulf/Murco on the other. The cost of living is cheaper up here but fuel isn't. Today Tesco have just put Diesel back upto 126.9!

Whilst i am not happy with the cost of fuel the oil price today does not reflect at the pumps till about 4 to 6 weeks so this 1p increase reflects that slight blip in the oil price about a month ago so in theory it should reduce over the next few weeks as the price has fallen lately so don"t fill up to brim full in the next couple of weeks!
