Printer problems

My Epson printer on Saturday suddenly developed flashing lights, stopped working and told me it needed service and to contact my dealer(nice to have lots of warning)So I looked on Ebay for a possible new printer as this was probably going to be cheaper than repair.I found that you can obtain software that is emailed to you and when downloaded corrects the problem. It seems that the printers are set to tell you that you need service when you do not, that your cartridges are empty when they are not and so on.The cost of this software was a massive £1.29 how good is that, what is more you can go direct to a website and download for free if you want.

It's no good having half the information Mr. Plotter - what site has this free download or would that be telling? Incidently your pen name bodes well with the topic under discussion.

Your pen name is the name in which you are using on this forum ie. The Plotter.
