Hi All,

My partner and I are debating where to go in the summer.

We can't decide on where to go as we both like diffrent things from a site.

I like to have open space around me but my partner prefers to have privacy with trees and shrubs planted around the pitch.

I would be intrested to hear what other people prefer out of the two conditions above.

I have to go along with your better half David. I prefer the wooded site with greenery than an open field. Privacy everytime for me and better still if theres a stream, river, lake, sea.

I am not so concerned regarding the privacy but as Lord B. has stated there is a lot to be thankful for in having the surrounds of a bit of tree cover intermingled if possible with rivers or lakes. The siting amid nature at its best leaves a lot to be desired for. I often admire the likes of Bill Oddy and Iolo williams for their work on TV. Being paid to do something in which one would also consider a hobby - what a wonderful life.

I'm with Lord B too. We've stayed in a few sites where there are just rows and rows of caravans with no vegetation other than the grass.

Yes and it looks so regimented and clinical country lass.

I love the warbling of bird song and the buzzing of the bee's, the chirruping of the grasshoppers and the babbling brook. OMG I feel as if I'm waxing lyrical and have changed names from Lord Braykewynde to Lord Tennyson :O)

⇦ hits myself upside of my head to bring me back to reality.

There can be NO comparison between Lord Tenyson and Lord. B. How on earth have you the gaul to even consider yourself in the same catergory? From the wording of your posting I would compare it with toilet poetry on a bad day. You sure that you were not on the bottle as your brain appears very confused?

If he still appears to be confused when he reaches the border,I have told the authorities to turn him round again and kick him back to Hereford.))

If I'm not comparable to Alfred Lord Tennyson I am at least an equal to Kilroy.

Maureen you cannot miss my passing through Glasgow. Open your windows and you will hear the trumpet fanfare of my arrival. I will give those Glaswegians their due, they recognise class :O)
