Problem with Gaslow automatic changeover causing low pressure

Has anyone had any problems with a Gaslow automatic changeover causing low pressure when connected to a fixed regulator on a Pageant series 5. When you take the changeover valve off and connect the pipe direct the pressure is fine.I've checked i've got the right model and you can blow through the valve alright without any blockages. I only use propane gas but when the changeover is connected the drop in pressure is quite dramatic even if you put a second burner on. Have even tried a different bottle of gas.

Thanks in advance

Hi Paul ,do you have the fitted Truma regulator? ( silver with yellow isolation tap) if so your regulator is the problem.I had the same problem and got my changeover valve changed still same fault.I spoke to Gaslow and they told me about the Truma regulator , the changeover valve acts as a first stage regulator and the drop in pressure can affect the regulator , i purchased a new one and bingo all is fine ,mind you it cost

Hello Mike, Yes thats the regulator i've got i'll have to get onto the service people to get it changed under warranty.Things

seemed much simpler with the old type regulators. Probably got a 1 1/2 hour drive just to change regulator now.

Thanks Paul

Hi Paul i had a long drive too , thats why i decided to change mine myself , 2 screws hold the unit to the wall and 1 compression gland , paid for then claimed back saved a lot of time cheers mike
