Propane Gas Bottles

Hi All

Im trying to work out how long the gas in my Propane bottle will last me. We have had the bottle for approx 1 year, and I can look back and check how many days we've used it for.

My question is, does anyone have any idea what these bottles weigh when they are full? Im using a flogas bottle that has 13.4 stamped on it. Im guessing this is the empty bottle weight. The bottle presently weighs 22Kg, but I rather stupidy neglected to weigh it when I bought it.

Thanks for any help you can give

Rick

The 13.4kg should be the weight of the empty cylinder, then add the weight of gas.
So, if the empty unit weighs 13.4kg, and the gas bought is 13kg, gives a total of 26.4kg

the aluminuim tag around the neck on a calor cylinder is the weight in pounds when the cylinder is empty , so as a rough guide ,the cylinder i have at the moment shows 18,o3 lbs divide by 2.2 = 8.195 kg plus 6 kg for the gas =14.19 kg =31.22lb ,so if you have a used cylinder , you can weigh it and work out the remaining gas
