Hi everyone,

Could someone please tell me if it would be possible to replace a whale 881 submersible pump with a Whale 921 submersible pump to increase the water pressure in the shower? My concern is that it will cause the joints in the pipework to leak, as I'm assuming they were only designed for the lower pressure pump. The van is a year 2000 Abbey GTS Vogue 216.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can't see any problem.

The tightness of a jubilee clip or integrity of a push fitting should be more than up to the extra pressure.

Steve if you go for the inline pump you can use the same Whale inlet with a pick up tube and filter as fitted by Bailey on the series 5 Senator

I've done exactly what you suggest and it's all been fine. Keep the 800 series as spare, or, as I have done use it with an internal small tank for overnight and winter use. See current topic on Inboard tanks - Whale sell pump with or without the connection sockets. Connection sockets have built in non-return valves and you dont need any more.

FIT AN AQUASMART , SMARTFLO ON BOARD PUMP FROM WHALE . YOU WILL INCREASE THE FLOW OF ANY SUBMERSIBLE .THE WATER DELIVERY WILL BE AT A GREATER PRESSURE, THEN YOU CAN HAVE A GOOD SHOWER,
