Can anyone advise on where I can obtain the handheld remote control unit for a Purpleline Quattro motormover, have been on Purplelines web site but cannot locate a replacement controller under spares/part etc......most confusing web site.

Any leads/info greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys, Just got an email back from Purpleline in Victoria and they can send out a new remote for $49.00 plus postage so not too bad.

Just whilst on the subject does anyone know if the silver motormover rollers can be replaced easily and if so has anyone done the job and can let me know the proceedure involved.

Have also started a new post regarding this.

Thanks

If they have a similar fixing method to the old Powrtouch movers then they are easy to change, been there and done it. Remove the end outboard plates (3 screws each), slide off the old roller from the inboard bearing, slide on new roller and replace outboard plates. Five minutes per side. ;)

Hi Woodlandscamper.

Thanks for that advice.

Mine is the Purpleline eGo mover and i have removed the 3 allen key bolts which hold on the half shroud and end cover cap then i removed the spring sirclip which was around the central shaft, apparently from what a fitter and Purpleline have said is that it should now be free to come off its internal shaft however it wont as it seems jammed in position.

The fitter who puts these on advised to spray some WD40 or similar down the central shaft over 2 days and allow it to soak in then try and prize it off with a couple of screwdrivers but ensuring i don,t damage the actual casing, he said all of a sudden it will release and come off.

Does this sound correct.

Gilbo.
