I am at my wits end trying to to like this thing, its still eating chunks out of my alloy wheels which i am absolutly p**sed o*f about as my vans only 3 months old! The device is shoddy. They say it takes only a minute to fit, yeh if you have no respect for your alloys. It takes me 5 minutes each time taking care not to damage the alloy but each time it does! This in turn will effect the balance of the wheel and tyre! Thanks for the worst £90 i have ever spent!

Thats exactly what my thoughts were on it too when i had one.I took mine back.

Its a cumbersome bit of kit and not easy to fit.

What a nightmare. We struggled with the Milenco but I think the nemesis was even worse. My OH could not get it on without laying flat out, even when the ground was wet and it took absolutely ages to get it fixed on. There were times we had to leave it and go back the next day because he'd lost his temper.

The new al ko locks are a dream, done and dusted in no time at all.

I looked at those last year when I was after a new clamp and they say they are easy to fit and first glance they look like they might be.So last September when in Dorset I walked around the site until I found a van with one on and asked their opinion, for fear of having this post deleted I will not quote what he said about it suffice to say I didnt buy one

Really don't know what happened above ? the gremlins are back again lol.

this is the sort of thing that makes this forum so worthwhile, i looked at the purple line clamp but decided against it as most other purpleline products have been reported as sub standard, remember that stupid hitchdrive thing ?. so glad i never purchased this clamp now but i feel for those that did it must be so annoying.

Same for the Purpleline Samurai which is like the nemisis but without the large plate that covers the wheelnuts. Thought would fit better between the spokes of the alloys.

Equally frustrating and equally prone to scratching the alloys.
