In the Awards issue magazine the closing date for BRAIN TEASERS puzzle entries is 6th Jan 2005, so how can you print the winners of the puzzles in the February 2005 issue which was received by post on 24th December 2004 - 2 weeks before the closing date!

This is not an isolated occurrence anyone else noticed it? - comments please.
 
Well spotted, Wendy. Unfortunately the wrong deadline went in the magazine - it should have read 6 December, not 6 January, so any entries after 6 December were not counted. Which was at least an accidental way of rewarding those who were quick off the mark with their entries. And this explains how we managed to publish the winners in the issue out 24 December. Apologies to any other readers who were confused or disappointed by this error.
