We purchased this on 13th august, used it for 3 nights. We had to take it down as it had leaked, everything was soaked, poles bent .It was returned to the south wales dealer on 21st August as not being fit for purpose. We were refused a refund! and are still in dispute with the company.Pyramid have said there is nothing wrong with their product! The only reason we bought this was our old porch(15years ,no problems did not fit our new van)

We have 38years of experience and have had various awnings, and have now purchased a tri porch. The reason for writing this is to warn others.BUYER BEWARE.BOB and PAT CARDIFF

Good Afternoon Bob & Pat

Like you my husband and I purchased Pyramid Majestic Porch Awning 390 in July of this year, on first occasion of using it, collapsed against caravan, it was a little breezy but nothing out of the ordinary when you are pitched near the coast.... over the following few days it collapsed three times, once trapping both my husband and myself inside the caravan meaning I had to climb out of the window!!! (not a pretty site), luckily on the third occasion I took photo's as by this time knew would not be keeping the awning!! We already had a 260 (Not Pyramid) to use for weekends just wanted something a little larger for holidays..

Like you went back to the supplier and was told it was storm damage which I totally refuted.... When ours collapsed the final

time we walked around the site which had 200+ pitched and surprise surprise the only other awning that anybody had problems with was another Pyramid porch!! Following emails back and forth was told by supplier that these awnings really shouldn't be used if any wind at all should only be used in fair weather!! So I thanked him for his advice and said that I was sure many caravan users would be interested to hear this on some of the forums that we belonged too!! Guess what full refund was agreed.

I still have all documentation if you would like copies , contact the modes who will give you my direct email address.

We like you have many years experience.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards

Di & Andy

Is this one of those PDQ awnings? i have heard many other horror stories about them.

I can highly recommend the Porchlite XL by Outdoor Revolution if you do buy another porch awning. it has stood up through some major gales for me.

I nearly bought a pdq from Cardiff Caravan Centre but thankfully they had one on display and after a good inspection i decided it was rubbish. try and get your money back.
