Query Charging Caravan Batteries?????

Hi all,

Can somebody answer me the following:

I have a Bailey Senator 6 Series.

1. Do they have an onboard charger.

2. Do they charge when hoooked up to site electrics.

3. Does the battery charge automatically or do you need to adjust any switches.

hi,

most modern caravans now have an inbuilt battery charging unit,some are automatic some have an on off switch which will be marked as battery charger.these only work when either hooked up to site electric or from car when coupled to van.these are not battery chargers as such,they merely keep the battery at a good wworking level.its better to buy a dedicated leisure battery charger like ctek and charge the battery every 2-3 mnthsto keep it to its optimum charge.
