Has anyone out there got a Quest Dome as an awning and if so how are they recieved on site? They certainly look good and are nice and light, if a bit pricey.
Homer
I have just ordered one at a total price of £773 which is expensive especially as I have not seen one in the flesh as it were
However because of its versatility and its ability to stand alone we can use it as a gazebo whilst not touring.
the other advantage is if it is raining when we leave site when I come home I can errect it in the garden and give it a complete dry out before putting it away.
Last but not least if we go to a very hot place we can sleep in the awning annex if it is too hot in the caravan so if I way up all the benefits maybe it is worth the price and still a little less than a full awning without the full awning disadvantages.
I will let you know when it arrives

John,
brave man, maybe the very first out there with a dome. I'm not as brave so please let us know what it's like in use. How it seals to the van, condensation, ease of erection etc. I really want one but will wait for your report,
Thanks,
Homer
I certainly will I have ordered it from towsure they have quoted 10-14 day delivery also looking at other sites it says you can have an added entry doorway and a sun roof so I contacted towsure to ammend the order and they said they do not supply these items after a few phone calls I got the two items from leisure products but this has added another £180 to the cost.
I agree its expensive but the more I think about it and the more I have read about it I like the idea more regarding sealing to the caravan this is not a concern for me because they say it can be used as a stand alone tent so when connected to the caravan if its cold I presume you can zip up the back panel facing the caravan so it becomes a sealed unit.
If you can catch what I am trying to explain. Anyway as soon as it arrives I will let you know
