Are you sure Frank Lampard was born in Ormskirk? I thought he was born in London as his dad would have been playing for West Ham at the time of his birth in the late 70's.

Watching the news ths morning I realised that the ENGLISH team is mnaged by a foreigner??? As a foreigner wouldn't he prefer it if his home country team won? Seems strange having an English team with a foreign manager but that seems to be the norm with a lot of teams. Weird.

In your original post you asked how many PLAYING for England were English born. I pointed out that they ALL were which didn't seem to satisfy you so now it's the manager!!!!

Thank you for posting the list of where the Team members were born. I was also born in Ormskirk. Was Wayne Rooney born at home?? as there is no Hospital in Croxteth. If in Hospital, it would have been Fazakerley, or Liverpool, unless his Mum went to Ormskirk!! Ta Julia

Whiston has a hospital, which is where Gerrard was born. I do believe he was living in Huyton from birth, a few hundred yards away from me I believe. Technically, this is outside the Liverpool boundary residing in Knowsley borough.
