Question for Haymarket Techie Guys

Hi Guy's,

Are we allowed to make banners to go in our signature boxes. I have made one but it does not show in my signature on my posts.

This is the banner (if it shows) I would like in my signature if pos.

Hi Graham
Your image code doesn't work by the look of things.
I'm not sure about the banner or if it would work from your profile but to add pictures via Photobucket you now need to copy the direct link.

Hmmm, Thats not a very modern up to date website then is it. Me thinks the techie guys need to get back to the drawing board.

Have also noticed tonight the website is running a lot slower than it has all day. Must be a large number of forum members on tonight.

All the best

You aren't able to post images in the post footers, we don't have plans to make it possible either as it will really slow the site down!

To post pictures in posts just click on the icon of a picture, (it has a tree in it) and post the image url in the box.
And your image is to wide for the page as well so would probably break the layout for IE... (I have forced it to be 400px wide by the way.)

Hi Austin,

Thanks for the reply. I think you guys are trying to do a good job with updating the forum website but can't help feeling it's all a waste of time. I think you all need to look at another caravan forum to see how things work there. There is never any problem with posting pictures or making banners to go with your signature, and it never affects the speed of the forum no matter how many pictures are placed in the topics. I can't help but feel this forum is out of date already, sorry.

The forum I would suggest you have a look at is this one: www.caravanning4u.co.uk this will give you an idea of how a forum should work.

Regards

Graham (Ponty)
