Hi Folks
We are looking for a site nearish to North/East Manchester for a few days break in our caravan. We, in the next few days, both want to recuperate and be able to drive in to Manchester to visit our children and their families who live there.
We are desperate for a peaceful break as Cary and I have just come to the end of a harrowing year+ which has included huge problems for Cary at work. She finally lost an Employment Tribunal claim for unfair and unlawful unfair dismissal last Wednesday.
We HAVE done a LOT of research on UKC and other websites but many campsites in that area are not yet open after the winter
We've seen mixed reviews of Hollingworth Lake Caravan Park on another site and wondered if any CTers had up to date info and recommendations both for this site or others in the area.
We prefer would quiet, RURAL sites with lakes. hill, river views a bonus. We need EHU, water and CDP but no other facilities as we are happy to use the 'van's toilet facilities. We are not too keen on sites in built up areas.
Sorry but don't bother recommending Well-i-Hole campsite a superb location but let down by ABSOLUTELY APPALLING CDP!!!
