It is with heavy heart i said goodbye to my loyal companion Sam yesterday. Sam was a 13 year old cocker spaniel and i had him since birth. I retired from my job as a ghillie end of 2022 and Sam was with me 6 days a week on the river. He loved that being outdoors all day with me. In the end he developed a heart murmur and right bad cough, his back end was going as well, struggling to walk long distances. I feel as if i gave him a great life and I did the right thing when the time came. Now hes away over the rainbow bridge, sleep well my lovely boy, hugs and kisses.

I know how your feeling, I had to make the same decision for my little Patterdale cross in January, a week short of her 17th birthday. Even though you know it's the kindest thing to do, it's heart breaking and leaves a huge hole in your life.

I can fully understand how you must be feeling having been in similar situations. Time is a great healer I'm sure you have fond memories of Sam, RIP.

Sam, We had to let our best dog, Rex, go to save him pain.
Fathers day, youngest lad springs on us, can you have Pepper, A wire haired Dachshund. , work needs son away for a wee, Just happens we have Nephews , old collie and a springer Pointer.
And our own. So 4 hounds for a week.

I don't trust people that don't like dogs.
Or cats for that.

Rex and Harry, helped Carole, Parky's fiancé, overcome her fear of dogs.IMG_20240623_103702.jpg
