Hi all, a thought had just occured to me. When wintering my Bailey Pageant S6 Bertagne the battery was taken out, when it is reconnected again will I need a code for the radio C/D.

Or should all just restart again, obviously I will need to reprogramme the stations.

any thoughts??????

Cheers Sean.

Sean,

You can remove it without any problem. Caravan cd's are basic head units which can be installed in any car or van.

Some dedicated car head units are tied into the vehicle computer system and as such do need recoding. I think some recognise that they have been inserted into the correct vehicle and thus don't need a code though I'm no expert.

As you say, you will lose your station presets but otherwise there won't be a problem.

I think you will find that you will have to re code it every time the battery is disconected, IF it has an anti theft code system.

The last time I had to recode a car radio it was simply a case of taking the code from the documentation and following the instructions to input it.
